Unlike the outspoken Al Azif, she is calm, collected and quiet, completely obedient to her master. Etheldreda is named after Aleister Crowley's dog.

The name Al Azif is Arabic in origin, meaning that nocturnal sound made by insects supposed to be the howling of demons.
